To prevent people undoing each others work we have a sophisticated page locking system in place. This tells other users if you are editing a page and how long you have been editing it for.

Within the editor there is a sophisticated but easy to set-up system of user permissions. With this users can be given limited permissions to change your site, allowing such things as disabling file and image uploads, requiring permission to make pages visible on your live site or even limiting the area of your site you want editing by a specific user or group of users.
