With the Multiple Editors Plug-in a site can be maintained by a number of content editors. The Multiple Editors Plug-in allows an administrator to manage editors and determine what sections of the site they are allowed to modify. Other permissions can also be given ie, the ability to upload files and images, the ability to publish pages etc.

As the many editors may sometimes be editing the site at the same time a page locking facility has been developed so if someone is editing the page it is locked to stop other people editing the same page. A specified editing time can be allotted to the site so editors are asked to save their work after a set period of time. This system helps to prevent editors from over writing each others work while at the same time stopping a single editor blocking page updates for a long period.

In addition to the above features the Multiple Editors Plug-in also allows for a page versioning system This means many editors can have their own version of a page and the main administrator of the site can choose which one to publish. This feature enables quality control by a single individual while having multiple contributors suggesting content.
