Newsletter System + Subscribe / Unsubscribe System

The Duo CMS Newsletter Systems allows for the mass mailing of an email newsletter to everyone who has signed up for the service via your site. Unlike using a contacts list in outlook, the newsletter system allows you to mail merge the clients name and email address into each newsletter, personalising it for the recipient. It also automatically attaches snippets of site content ( ie news, events etc ) and then tracks the users from the email to your site. The combined effect allows you to see who has read your newsletter and how successful it is at bringing clients back to the site, as the content is taken from the site only a short message needs to be written each time. Subscribe and unsubscribe pages allow users to join your mailing list or to opt-out if they no longer wish to receive your updates. The opt-in opt-out process falls in line with European anti-spam regualtions.

The Newsletter system can be a very effective way of pro-actively bringing users back to the site and keeping them up-to-date with everything you have to offer. Combined with it’s built in user tracking system it is not only possible to update your clients easily but it is also possible to see who read the email, which of those came to your site via the email and where on the site they visited. 

In the future we plan to expand this newsletter plug-in to allow it to send out information automatically. This would be triggered when the site has received enough updates to warrant a client update.
