FENet is a Thematic Network, funded by the European Commission for four years from August 2001. The network has sought to coordinate activities from within Europe aimed at improving both the quality of industrial applications of finite element technology and the level of confidence that can be placed in the computed results.
Duo has been involved in creating this website as part of a larger body of work. Fe-Net is a project run by Nafems (international association for the engineering analysis community) and fe-net forms part of the Nafems site as well as sitting separately as its own domain.
Because the two sites run from the same information resource ( database ) when one is updated the updates are automatically present on both sites. Fe-Net's design is different from that of the main Nafems site. The style however has been completely separated from the content so changes are automatically displayed in the appropriate corporate identity.
This methodology has been also been applied to the autosim site . This single edit, multiple change system vastly reduces the workload in maintaining a series of sites and also removes the potential for errors.
